Mechanical Maintenance Engineer- Gas Turbine

• Generate and schedule preventive and predictive maintenance of rotary and stationary equipment.
• Planning of Preventive and predictive maintenance and prepare schedule as well as bar chart for Gas turbine maintenance i.e. Major Inspection, Hot Gas path Inspection, Combustion Inspection. Shutdown Planning for other critical auxiliaries like high pressure boiler feed pump, vertical turbine pump, Condensate extraction pump, reciprocating compressor etc.
• Indentify required spares from bill of material provided in the drawing for planning and procurement to carry out shutdown.
• Preparation of technical specification of pipe, pipe fittings, valves and other mechanical equipment as per ASTM, ANSI, ASME, IS standard.
• Technical evaluation of Quotation/Bids/offers from vendors and Confirm interchangeability of drawings/spares from Non OEM.
• Comparing the performance of turbine parameters before & after overhauling/inspection & forward it to management with related comments in order to achieve higher standards of availability / efficiency & reduction in power consumption of plant & related equipment.
Project Planning:
• Project planning, Procurement, Erection and commissioning of 66 TR Reciprocating water cooled chiller. Project contains preparation of technical specification for chiller, evaluation of technical specification bid/tender, award of contract and commissioning of total unit and Parallel operation with existing Vapour Absorption System (VAM) 50 TR at GIPCL Baroda.
• Project Planning and procurement of High pressure boiler feed pump as part of energy conservation. Project contains preparation of technical specification for HPBFP KSB make, evaluation of technical specification from bid / tender, confirm interchangeability of new pump with existing pump and successful commissioning of pump.
• Contract Management : Well experienced in handling service contracts to OEM and Non-OEM for carrying out overhauling of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, HRSG and various critical Auxiliaries from preparing bid document, vendor selections, technical and commercial discussion, establishing of PO's.. Experienced in handling service contracts for repairing of critical Gas Turbine components, Fabrication ARC, Machining ARC etc.
