1. Simulation, Modelling and Control of a Reactive Distillation Process using Aspen Engineering suite: Developed a control structure for Tert-Amyl Methyl Ether (TAME) process in a plantwide environment using Aspen® Engineering Suite.
Design and Simulation of reactive distillation systems have been conducted in Aspen Plus and its active behaviour was studied in Aspen Dynamics.
Black box modelling was executed in Matlab using Nonlinear Auto Regressive Exogenous model followed by designing a Nonlinear Model Predictive Controller by interfacing Aspen Custom Modeler with Microsoft Visual C.
2. CFD simulation of flow patterns in a Fuel cell: Computational fluid dynamics methodology has been carried out to integrate electrochemical processes with mass transfer process and solved accordingly with the help of finite volume method.
Two dimensional mathematical model of the transfer processes in the fuel cell has been developed and analysed.
Compared flow profiles developed by coding in C with that by STAR-CD software.
