2009 – Present Perforating and Production Logging Subject Matter Expert
Schlumberger, Oman
Regional technical expert for perforating and production logging services, providing advice and job design in production enhancement and well-reservoir management projects. Involved in many jobs and projects, tackling production technology issues holistically to enhance well productivity and profitability by analyzing well and reservoir conditions, data analysis and providing job designs. Involved in works related to well workover, water shutoff, well stimulation, perforating, surveillance, well integrity, ESP and beam-pump wells, well intervention with electric wireline, coiled-tubing, tractor and slickline. Experience covered exploration, development and brown fields in Oman for operators in multiple environments like deep tight gas, carbonates, enhanced-oil-recovery (EOR), horizontal wells and high-temperature wells. I also provide many trainings and presentations to various parties. Among key projects:
1. Horizontal well interventions using tractors and coiled-tubing. Projects included perforating and well surveillance like production loggings in cased-hole and open-hole horizontal wells. ( See below section Publications-item 4). Involved in job design, operational support and data analysis.
2. Perforating design for fracturing.
3. Workover support. Activity ranged from pre-job planning, operational support and data analysis for completion recovery, well integrity evaluation and production enhancement.
4. Well integrity surveillance including A,B annulus diagnostics, corrosion logging and cement evaluation.
5. Perforating design for mini-DST in open hole ( See below section Publications-item 5)
6. Dynamic underbalance perforating design for enhanced productivity
7. Very hard rock hydraulic fracturing (See below section Publications – item 7)
8. Steam injection surveillance in heavy oil field. Job design and data analysis for wells with temperature up to 570 degF.
9. Polymer injection surveillance for EOR field.
10. Surveillance in wells with ESP and beam-pump
11. Distributed Temperature Sensing (DTS) survey. Projects involved DTS analysis for carbonate pre-acid stimulation.
