I have worked for Halliburton Energy Services for 5 months. I have been exposed to the oil and gas industry and I am very keen to establish my career in this field.

I have completed my degree at the University of Cape Town. I have undertaken courses like dynamics, mechanics of solids, thermofluids, refrigeration and air conditioning as well as advanced heat transfer.

I have acquired sound overall knowledge of leading engineering principles, tools and practices with emphasis on designing, building and testing of mechanical systems. I am proficient in the use of various automated systems including current releases of Pro Engineer Wildfire Design Software. I have basic knowledge in Solid Works and would like to become proficient in using this platform as well.

My final year project was on passive solar heating using a thermosyphon. The knowledge and experience I gained while tackling the project is invaluable and has potential for mass implementation. I believe with more research and experimentation, efficiencies of power generation can be greatly increased by means of resources that do not harm the environment.

I have applied classroom theory to innovative and successful projects in which I served as the Maintenance Technician. Additionally, I have been a responsible leader during Orientation Week at UCT where I helped to promote the importance of health and safety awareness.

My personal attributes include leadership and sound judgment as well as creativity, analytical and troubleshooting skills. I interact productively with people from diverse backgrounds. I have a history of quality work carried to timely completion.
