November, 2011 - till now: Working for Dover Investment Ldt. which is a partner with Petrozeit in Gulf of Suez area and Kuwait Energy in the Western Desert area as a Petrophysicist.
• Making the Petrophysical evaluation based on all kinds of wireline logs.
• Petrophysical analysis on ELAN and IP.

August, 2008 - till now: Working for Gebel El Zeit Petroleum Company (PETROZEIT) which is a JV for Marathon (US) then for Dover (CANADA) as Operation / WellSite Geologist and Petrophysicist.
• Making the Petrophysical evaluation based on all kinds of wireline logs.
• Petrophysical analysis on ELAN and IP.
• Witnessing all Open hole WireLine Logging acquisition.
• Witnessing RST logging acquisition and interpreting TDT-RST data.
• Responsible for operational & well reports (Daily geological reports).
• Follow-up and manage geological drilling operations and WireLine program.
• Mud logging operations, making the required rock description and establishing a quick look interpretation for logs.
• Participated in the regional evaluation of new and old blocks, correlation using E-logs, and Petrophysical evaluation for E-logs.
• Working with G&G team to make 3D static models using Petrel including structural model, facies model and Petrophysical model.
• Participate on the wells proposals and drilling program.
• Discussing and sharing opinions about the new prospects and new areas to be drilled.
• Calculate the reserves according to the structure maps and well data.
• Good knowledge in development and reservoir geology.
• Good knowledge in sedimentology.
• Good experience in Paleontology (Nanno-planktonics) and biostratigraphic correlation.
• Good knowledge of structural geology / tectonic principles.

December, 2007 - till August 2008: Working for EREX which is consultation office as Nanno-Planktonics paleontologist and Biostratigrapher.
• Age dating using Nanno planktonics species.

My name is Ashraf Mekawy and I am a Petrophysicist with 5 years experience. My main skills include petrophysical /formation evaluation and operation geology, but I also have a decent background in structural geology, sedimentology and stratigraphy.

As an Egyptian national married to a Belgian citizen; obtaining visa/work permit would be the easiest in the Gulf area or the European Union.
