Career Objective
Petroleum Engineer with six (6) years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry with emphasis on production engineering including analysis, design, diagnosis, troubleshooting and optimization of artificial lift systems.
Professional Experience
Production Engineer Supervisor
La Concepcion oilfield (clastic – carbonate reservoir), Western Venezuela
•Review and determine the artificial lift systems designs for each well depending on the reservoir characteristics, completion, surface facilities and available technologies.
•Maintain the subsurface equipment operation under international standards.
•Responsible for the surveillance of artificial lift systems, by analyzing the equipment failures and field data, to ensure the proper operation of the surface and subsurface equipments.
•Assure the implementation of several remedial actions to reduce equipment failures frequency.
•Participate in the development and implementation of internal budget, according to the company planning and scheduling activities.
•Develop costs-effective analysis associated with the company operation and propose improvements, if needed, to ensure maximum profitability.
•Stimulate the co-workers to registering and addressing HSE issues and consider their HSE performance in the company’s consequence and recognition programmes.
•Prepare technical reports to capture lessons learned and recommend optimization steps.
•Take part in the development and implementation of company projects.
•Follow up the Develop of optimization strategies for improving well productivity in beam pumping, PCP and gas lift wells to reduce deferment based on performance indicators.

AWARDS
•Awarded for the paper publication “Substantial Decrease in Subsurface Equipment Failures in a Mature Field in Western Venezuela” presented at the 2010 Trinidad and Tobago Energy Resources Conference, at PDVSA-Petrowayuu”.
ACHIEVEMENTS
• 58% reduction of beam pumped wells failure rate from 0.775 failures/well-year to 0.327 failures/well-year saving at least 520.000 US$/year on well interventions and reducing downtime in 25% (until Dec. 2008).
