Professional Experience
Work History:
2012 One month internship at TOTAL E&P Yemen. The internship was in Total’s GSR department in Sanaa. It gave me the opportunity to work with reservoir engineers and introduced me to modeling workflow from seismic interpretation to reservoir simulation. It also introduced me to reservoir modeling softwares like Petrel and Eclipse
2011 Two-month summer internship with Total E&P Yemen
During summer 2011, I had a two-month internship at Total E&P Yemen. This internship was divided into two parts. The first part covered a general overview of the production plants in the oil field while the second was an overview of the drilling department. I also joined the mechanical, electrical and well services teams to learn about well maintenance and cleaning, casing, cementing, and pressure control. Personally, the internship helped me improving my self-confidence, communication and teamwork skills. Moreover, this experience improved my safety and environment awareness (esp. on the drill rig), improved my team work skills in a harsh and new environment as most jobs were carried out by teams in the desert and enabled me to take the important routine readings and write formal daily reports.
