Power Plant Operation Engineer

Seeking assignments in Operations & Maintenance / Erection & Commissioning, Energy Management, Power Plant Piping & Designing Preferably in Power Plant having unit capacity greater than 500MW, both Thermal and Nuclear plants around the globe.

• Professional with more than six years of Operations experience of managing Power Plant of 2340 MW (4 X 210 MW + 2 X 250 MW + 2 X 500 MW) Capacity, Piping Design of Overseas Thermal Power Plant & Maintenance of Combined Cycle Plant.
• Power plant operation related planning, emergency handling, performance monitoring of various equipment / process.
• Adept at implementing maintenance & up gradation schedules for various utilities & systems in Power Plants.
• Worked in two Power Plant Piping Detail Engineering Projects for GLOW CFB # 3, Thailand of capacity of 110 MW & SEBU, Philippines, of capacity of 2 x 105 MW, while working with M/s. Development Consultants Private Limited, Kolkata, India, sub-let by M/s. Doosan Heavy Industries Limited.
• Preparation of BOM, Support Concept Drawing, Piping Layout and Isometric development, co-ordination with internal and external clients.
• An effective communicator with excellent relationship building & interpersonal skills. Strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities.
• Having worked in Combined Cycle Power Plant & Ammonia Production Plant, consequently active involvement in -
 Predictive maintenance
 Running / routine maintenance
 Emergency maintenance
 Ensuring minimum equipment down time and maximum availability of equipment.
• Hands on experience at managing functions related to quality assurance, process optimization, control, scale-up operations & in-process quality control.
• Certificate of Energy Manager cum Auditor and Executive MBA in Energy Management.

• Executive MBA (Distance Learning) from ISBM in Energy Management.
• B.Tech. (Mechanical) from Haldia Institute of Technology under West Bengal University of Technology in 2006 with 7.67 DGPA
• 12th from Belmuri Union Institution, Hooghly, W.B.C.H.S.E Board in 2002 with 73.5%
• 10th from Belmuri Union Institution, Hooghly in 2000 with 79.6%

• Certification: Licence as Energy Auditor cum Manager vide Reg. No. EA-13812 issued by the National Productivity Council, under the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Govt. of India.

ACHIEVEMENTS
• Experience of having worked in Power Plant Design Team at DCPL, Kolkata, subsequently in the capacity of Project Leader. Got the exposure of having been major design engineer in Piping Division in new Project ‘GLOW CFB-3’, Thailand. Also worked in the inception phase of Project in SEBU, Philippines.
• Worked in close conjunction with Design Division of Doosan Heavy Industries Ltd.
• Was in the sole charge of the whole design team of around 20 people.
• Got the exceptional opportunity as a G.E.T. to bear entire responsibility of ‘Re-tubing of Heat Exchanger’ (Heavy Duty Synthesis Gas Compressor Intercooler) at Tata Chemicals Ltd., Babrala, U.P, considered uncommon at the stage.
• All most correct prediction of reasons for Unit Tripping & diagnosis of failures throughout the tenure as an Operation Engineer at MTPS, DVC (4X210 MW + 2X250 MW + 2X500 MW).
• Worked as Unit In-charge at MTPS, DVC within 3 years of joining, which is rare. Have been able to build the reputation of being reliable as an Operation Engineer / In-charge throughout the units of all capacities.
