Electrical Maintenance Engineer (On-board)
- Responsible for all electrical equipment, ship control system, machines and devices onboard.
- Maintaining all the Electrical & Instrumentation faults while onboard using manuals, circuit diagrams and P&IDs.
- Dealing with Instrumentation components such as RTD temperature sensors (PT100), pressure transmitters, level switches & transmitters and Pneumatic & Electrical Control Valves.
- Opening, maintaining and dealing with electrical panels and its components like starter panels, contactors, overload relays, Timer Relays and circuit breakers.
- Handling alarms related to electrical and automation problems.
- Weekly Preventative Maintenance (Testing Emergency Generator – Checking Batteries of Emergency Generator for Normal Working – Testing Lifeboat Batteries – Checking for GMDSS Batteries)
- Dealing with ship’s PGS (Power Generation System) which consists of Diesel generators, Turbine generator, Shaft Generator, Emergency Genrator and Main Transformers.
- Dealing with HVSB (High Voltage Switch Board) and Its Monitoring Panel (HIMAP).
- Doing Megger(Insulation Test)and dealing Heat-Smoke-Flame detectors for the automatic fire detection & alarm system.
- Monitoring and maintaining Reefer Containers for an assigned set point temperature (Controller and Refrigerant Cycle).
- Maintaining and dealing with the electrical parts and control circuits of the following equipment, machines and devices located on board
Alarm Systems, Automatic Fire Detecting and Alarm System, 3-Phase Motors, Marine Incinerator, Air Compressors, Auxiliary Boiler, Auxiliary Blowers, Engine Room Crane & Hoist, Lighting System Distribution, Circuit breaker
