Problem Solving and Initiative
• As a volunteer at a charity we had a timeline to raise money and renovate an orphanage home. I was given the task of getting the dining hall painted in a week. The painter who was contracted could not meet with the deadline, I had to prioritise by reorganizing my calendar to create time to help with the painting. Through this I was able to finish the project one week ahead of schedule.


• I was made the group leader of the NYSC social welfare group by the state coordinator of the local government and we had a project, which involved the raising of funds for first aid supplies for a local community. To do this, I had to come up with a fundraising strategy, how it will be carried out and identified possible bottlenecks. I ran the idea by the group who approved the idea and we were able to raise 10% more than we needed.
