Pipeline & Structural Engineer

To become an engineer with vast knowledge in Engineering Design & Construction of oil & gas facilities both offshore and onshore and also assist in training young engineers.

SKILLS
• A highly proficient Mechanical Engineer with strong analytical skills.
• Knowledge of pipeline, piping and mechanical equipment design, construction, operations, practices, and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of design codes and standards for pipeline, piping and mechanical equipment(ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API 5L, ASME VIII)
• Knowledge of fabrication of steel structures (jackets, topside, bridges)
• Resourceful team worker and pays close attention to detail.
• Pipeline/Piping Detailed Engineering Design using ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, ASME B31.8, API 5L
• Carried out Pipeline Route Analysis: Pipeline Route Map, Pipeline Alignment sheet, Pipeline Approach, Trench Details, Pipeline Crossings.
• Prepared project design drawings (Pipeline Route Maps, Pipeline Approach drawings, Pipeline Alignment Sheets, Crossing Drawings, Trench drawings, ROW drawings, Riser General Arrangement drawings, Coating Drawings, Flange protector drawings etc
• Prepared Material take-off (MTO) for Pipelines
• Performed and Checked Pipeline calculations: Mechanical Analysis, Stress Calculations, Concrete coating.
• Prepared technical specifications and data sheets for Line pipe, Induction bends, Flanges, Reducers, Barred tees, Concrete coating etc.
• Prepared technical Specifications for Welding, Pipeline Construction
• Prepared Piping Isometric drawings with bill of Materials.
• Interpret piping & equipment layout from P&ID
• Interfaced with other Engineering disciplines
• Application of AutoCAD for the production of Fabrication Drawings (Shop Drawings, Weld Maps, General Arrangement drawings and Cutting Plans) in construction of oil and gas platforms, bridges etc.
• Preparation of Material take-off for construction.
• Prepare As-built drawing of completed projects for final documentation
• Perform detailed checking of drawings, for dimensional accuracy, tolerances and presentation.
• Liaise with Fabrication workshop to ensure compliance with fabrication drawings
