Professional Experience
1. Chief Engineering , Royal Navy of Oman Representative (UK)
•Developing cooperative relationships and working with all internal and supplier stakeholders to monitor progress, resolve problems with relevant solutions and ensure deadlines are met.
•Learning all vessels systems and contributing to revision of all ships drawings with recommendations for suitable modifications to the original ship design.
•Conducting all inspections during building stages including installation and commissioning of ships’ systems to ensure quality standards are met at all times.
•Carrying out harbour and sea trials on all electrical and mechanical systems for testing purposes and resolution of problems to ensure seaworthiness before sign off.
Conducting the acceptance procedure for all the mechanical and electrical systems.
2. Maintenance planning
•Planning maintenance programs for mechanical and electrical systems, including; Maine diesel engines up to 9000kw; Maine diesel generators; refrigeration plants; air conditioning systems; HP and LP air compressors; hydraulic systems; pumps and all related auxiliary systems.
•Plane maintenance program for ships in refit for the royal navy of Oman naval ships.
•Supervising the effectiveness of the planned maintenance operation of marine engineering systems to reduce downtime, resolve problems with creative solutions and ensure efficiency at all times.
3. Chief Engineering
•Supervising the effective operations and maintenance of all marine engineering systems to reduce downtime, manage damage control, resolve problems with creative solutions and ensure efficiency at all times.
•Managing and maintaining robust health & safety processes and procedures in the maintenance and operations of marine engineering systems to ensure internal and external regulatory standards are met.
•Managing, developing and motivating 15 personnel, four head sections and two assistants in each section by delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and conducting one-to-ones to ensure achievement of objectives.
4. Marine Engineering Technician
•Operating, maintaining and monitoring all marine engineering systems including main engines, shafting systems, generators, sewage, pumps, air conditioning units, and high and low air compressors.
