VIP protection for members of the Saudi royal family in Cairo, Egypt. Protecting HRH prince Turki, as well as HRH princess Hend. (one on one and part of team) working directly for HRH prince Turki bin Abdul Aziz al Saud not only as CQP officer but as personal assistant and butler. Doing security assessment of hotels, restaurants and other places being visited by the royal family.
UNAMID: Darfur, Sudan. Deployed as a CIVPOL member (14 Aug 2009 to 13 Aug 2010) as part of SA government peacekeeping efforts in Africa

Period: 10 April 2010– 13 August 2010
I was deployed at mission Head Quarters (mhq), at Joint Operations Centre (JOC), as a JOC liaison officer.

Duties: Liaison with the military and civilian personnel.
Giving morning reports on police activities inside the mission area for the military force commander. Compiling the daily Police Commissioner’s morning briefing report (PCMB) from the three (3) DSR’s received from the sectors under our command. Following up on all flash reports and incident reports and making sure that the chief of operations and other senior staff are informed of all incidents in the mission area or incidents outside the mission area involving UNAMID personnel.
