Responsibilities
• Review of enquiry specifications received from Project and understanding the special features of goods to be procured
• Participating in the selection of bidders as per department’s procedure and short listing of vendors and issue of Enquiries to the approved Bidders.
• Evaluation of Bids , Participating in Commercial Negotiation with Bidders and Preparations of Final documents to obtain Tender Evaluation Committee’s Approval.
• Placement of Purchase Orders and Follow Up of the Same.
• Coordinate with Site for the after sales services required, Performance Tests required from Vendors.
• Cooperation with warehouse, sub-contractors, vendors and freight forwarders.
• To look after the vendor development /updation of vendor list with respect to material in purview.
• Participation and make materials status report at Project and Construction meetings
• Generate and In-charge of updating PO Status, Expediting Reports to management
• Making emergency purchases arising out of emergency shutdown, breakdown of critical equipments, unforeseen requirements during the course of shutdown when certain spare parts/other materials are required to be positioned on an urgent basis.
• To arrange for proper and timely payments to the suppliers after taking care of various deductions if any due to delay in receipt of important materials which has a direct impact on the overall cost of the project
