In addition to gaining my Bsc. in Geology I had experience and applied well site geology for seven years being involved in surface logging operation exploration and office based roles.

Surveillance of drilling parameters,
Hydrocarbon detection (GWD),
Gas detection (total gas & gas chromatograph),
H2S awareness and detection,
Overpressure and overflow detection,
Core and sample description,

Gas analysis and interpretation ,
Elaboration of Gas While Drilling Report and establish of Gas/Oil Contact (GOC), GWC, OWC.
Elaboration of Master Log, Gas Log, Drill Log, Daily Reporting, Final Well Report.
Using advanced electrical sensing equipment and computers, complete surveillance of oil and gas well drilling operations was performed. Duties included geological analysis / evaluation, and continuous hydrocarbon monitoring for reservoir detection and safety, with constant data acquisition and interpretation. Full reports were regularly submitted, with recommendations when requested.
Work was performed in 12 hour shifts / 24 hour on-call status, for periods between 3-5 weeks, both on-land and off-shore.
Seismic data interpretation 2D and 3D using UNIX platform (work stations) – Geo-Frame software;
Stratigraphic evaluation of sedimentary deposits using geological and geophysical data for the identification of stratigraphic unconformity;
Tectonic pattern evolution, identification of the faults with a role in gas and oil pool;
Construction of geological cross sections based on well data and seismic profiles; Delineation of possible structures carrying oil and gas;
Construction of geological maps (isobaths, isopachyte, isochrones maps) for different geological targets;
Correlation of drilling data with well prognosis;
Identification of petroleum system;
Establishment of discovery new wells positions settings and oil/gas reserve calculation.
Evaluation of new areas extension and establishment of type of reserve and reserve calculation;
