I (Praveen Kumar Bansal) am an ex -Master Mariner, with ~23 years of professional experience across the globe in the shipping industry (shore job and sailing).



I have been associated with K Line Shipping Management Co. (KLSM), Tokyo since 2002 in various roles / capacities. Since July 2011, I have been promoted by KLSM to the role of a Marine Manager handling two LNG project (four DFDE LNG vessels). I provide marine expertise to achieve safe operation of the LNG vessels and ensure that all vessels operate as per the Charterer’s expectation. Prior to this I have been associated with KLSM in various capacities as a Marine Superintendent, Deck Instructor in Shore jobs and as Master (Sea Carriers), Chief Officer (Sea Carrier) in Sailing job.



I have a total of 18 years of sailing experience with various globally recognized shipping companies such as K Line, Stena Bulk, Great Eastern Shipping Co. Ltd and International Marine Transport (Mobil Shipping Co. Ltd) before taking up shore job. My tenures in command have been on LNG, Fully Refrigerated LPG vessels, Ammonia, VLCC, Aframax tankers, Product carrier and Chemical carrier.
