UBD/MPD Specialist

I’m currently looking for an opportunity anywhere I could use or share my knowledge but preferably a UBD/MPD position in the Americas (English/Spanish fluent). I would also be interested in an assistant DSV position.

As an air and underbalanced drilling field engineer initially trained in Wyoming and working overseas for 17 years I’ve first learned to drill water, steam, gas, and oil wells sections managing the gas injection for aerated fluids. Thanks to some excellent mechanic background, I’ve also become highly skilled at fixing most of the equipment such as diesel engines, RCD’s, heavy industrial compressors, triplex pumps, and nitrogen membrane units. I had then the opportunity to become a UBD Nitrogen Equipment Service Leader for Halliburton. In charge of commissioning their first UBD equipment right off the plant in Canada, my mission was to train local personnel and ensure the units’ performance and maintenance for a 2 dozen wells project in Mexico. Hired by At Balance Americas in 2007 as a Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) Supervisor, during 4 years I’ve studied and learned how to solve well bore stability issues using Automated Power and Pressure Balance Chokes, acquiring specialized training and operational techniques on HPHT well projects in Australia, Cameroon, the GOM, and the North Sea.
Today, I’m more comfortable with troubleshooting PLC´s wiring issues, GUI´s and software anomalies than diesel engines and thanks to some extended field experience and specific courses the management of the BHP and the annular pressure while drilling had become a specialty. I’ve also developed significant skills regarding UBD and MPD field equipment drawing, enhancement, and repair and possess an excellent flow process understanding in order to elaborate reliable site surveys and solve rig up issues.
Very early in my career I’ve become a safety leader and was delegate to start projects and mentor many inexperienced personnel mostly in a foreign language. Very familiar with ordering or shipping procedures I’m also capable of managing a shop.
