Education
M.Sc (Geology)- in the year 2003 from Presidency College under University of Calcutta with 71.87% marks and specialization in structural geology.
Academic Projects
M.Sc Dissertation (Year 2003) - Topic: Estimation of strain using convolutes from Chaibasa formation of Ghatsila Galudih areas, Jharkhand, India; under guidance of Dr. Alokesh Chatterjee, Reader in Geology, Presidency College, Kolkata, India.
The aim of the work was to determine of the strain in different locations of the Ghatsila- Galudih fold belt. The study was carried out by utilizing tectonically deformed soft sediment convolute folds, to determine the principal strains in different locations of the study area and concluded that the area shows a constriction type of deformation in general (establish the nature of deformation).
