An Application for the post of Inspection/QA QC Engineer

Seeking a position to utilize my skills and abilities to the optimum level in the industry that offers professional growth, to utilize & enhance the spectrum of my experience & knowledge, to serve my family effectively.

• Responsible for Routine internal-external &shutdown inspection of various types of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, furnaces, reactors, pressure safety valves,tankages ,process/power piping and other power plant equipments as per GFR,IBR & OISD (Oil industry safety Directorate)
• To carry out root cause failure analysis in a team for static equipment/piping related problems. Based on the analysis, providing recommendations viz. metallurgy upgrade, process related controls, design changes etc. to avoid recurrence of failure in same or identical other units.
• Inspection interval review for static equipment, piping loops and PSVs – based on inspection findings.
• Coordinating & Expediting with Third Party Inspection Agency for Inspection at Vendor site.
• Coordinating with Asst. Director of Boilers & Director of Boilers,Gujarat office for yearly inspection & approval process as per the requirement of Indian Boiler Regulations.
• Coordinating & witnessing Videoscopic inspection in Boilers.
• Participation in “plant reliability” meetings comprising of multi discipline members to discuss reliability issues for the plant.
• ‘Fitness for Service’ analysis of piping and pressure vessels, as and when required.
• Preparation of off-site piping inspection strategy.
• Participation in Pre Start-up Safety Review audits prior to start-up after plant shutdown as well as prior to commission new modification jobs.
• Inspection activities as per the requirement in MOC (Management of Change)
• Vendor Co-ordination for MOC of the specific Job. Recently performed On line FO tank Hot tapping job , first time ever in India.
• Preparation of the inspection reports including recommendations for the same in SAP.
• Providing inspection requirements during shutdowns of above process units.
• Estimation, planning for manpower, NDT resources during shutdowns.
• Publishing daily MIS including forward path/recommendations.
• Preparation of inspection summary/ inspection reports for shutdown jobs.

Education Qualification

B.E. Mechanical :Completed in July-2001 from V.V.P. Engineering College Rajkot, Gujarat with First Class distinction – 65.60% aggregate.

Professional Training/Certifications:

ASNT LEVEL – II in Liquid Penetration Test, Magnetic Particles Test, Ultrasonic Test & Radiographic Test.

Appeared QMS LA (ISO 9001:2008) course from Bureau Veritas’2013 Baroda.
