Roles Included
Preventive and general maintenance of packaging machines including bottle washer, bottle filler, pasteurizer, labeler, unpacker and packer, crater and decorator among others.
Carried out team based walk about (TEBWA) at the packaging line to identify problems with various machines and recommend them for maintenance.
Took part in a safety, health and environment walk about in the entire packaging to note the safety concerns and have them raised in safety improvement reporting cards (SIRC).
Also got introduced to the basics of asset care planning and the general administration of the asset care team.
Treatment of brewing water at the utilities plant
Waste treatment at the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP)
Also participated in maintenance of the utilities machines including back-washing of the sand filters, replacing chlorine gas cylinders, preventive maintenance on the lake water pump among others.
Maintenance of the brew house machines such as elevators, conveyors and pumps.
Preventive maintenance of the engine room equipment such as overhaul of Ammonia evaporator, Carbon dioxide plant, air compressors and ammonia condenser.

Took part in general routine servicing of police cars and motorcycles.
Got introduced to various car systems such as brakes, transmission, electrical and differential systems.
Participated in fixing of braking systems of the different automobiles at the workshop.
Also took part in panel beating activities such as fabrication and wind screen replacement.
