Project Engineer

Project Engineer with 6 years record of success overseeing all phases of construction, infrastructure, fabric and maintenance projects for government and Oil & Gas sector clients.

• Perform basic project engineering functions involving the monitoring of progress, planning, reporting, and identification/evaluation of project issues and problems.
• Manage and execute all aspects of the project in accordance with the scope and requirements of the contract
• Responsible for overall managing of Piling, Scaffolding, Electrical & HVAC subcontractors (with manpower from 50 to 95 personnel each, including engineering and supervision team) and ensuring that all related activities will meet requirements with regards to safety, scope, quality, schedule and budget associated with construction activities starting from the contract conclusion till the work handover.
• Approval of Scope of Work for Subcontractors services, and approval of mobilisation plans and procedures submitted by Subcontractors.
• Reviewed engineering designs, drawings and other related engineering documents to identify potential problems ahead of time and proactively implement solutions.
• Cooperating with engineering team to make sure that all related to the task / project drawings has been approved by the client and available for Heads of Department’s / Superintendants.
• Responsible for ensuring that engineering, procurement & construction are in compliance with the specified requirements and designs and are delivered in accordance with the approved quality control directives, budget and programmed schedules
• Responsible for preparation of Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• Production of project procedures, method statements and scope of work for tendering documents. Review and maintenance of existing procedures / documents.
• Checking and preparing of project progress reports
• Provide overall support/technical information to the Construction group and to the Project as a whole.
• Responsible for all project activities in the role of acting as Engineering Manager and/or Construction Manager in the temporary absence of the Engineering / Construction Manager
• Periodic inspection of construction sites and ensuring that construction activity progresses as per schedule
• Schedule and lead all required construction meetings with required personnel, clients, subcontractors, construction team.
• Participating to progress , ad hoc , kick-off project meetings , take accurate and complete meeting minutes and distribute timely
