MARKETING & SALES ENGINEER
My role at METCO has been varied. Initially taken on as Business Development Assistant to reproduce the Presidents Operating Report (POR) workbook, it has since developed to Marketing & Sales Engineer, where I am still responsible for the POR; involved with all aspect of PR and Marketing – various marketing and branding projects and assisting with the revision of the METCO website into the Emerson format; Organising events; and my role as Sales Engineer.

My involvement in the POR has enabled me to develop a good understanding of the various business streams within METCO and involve me with the forecasting and recording of sales and booking revenue. It has also lead me to better understand the Total Metering Management (TMM) Contracts, how they have been set up, the respective contract T & C’s, contract duration, manning and pricing breakdown

As Sales Engineer I am responsible for producing various quotes and proposals. As well as attention to detail, time management and organisation skills are imperative to ensure quotes are issued on time, and chased as and when necessary.

During my time at METCO I have also been involved with the recruitment process; sourcing candidates; advertising positions; and reviewing CV’s to identify the most appropriate and suitable candidates.

My role has allowed me to develop good relationships throughout the company; with the Field Services Manager; Personnel in the various TMM Contracts; and in all the departments within the company.
