Roles and responsibilities

• Responsible for implementing and maintaining the HSE Management system in accordance with company HSE policy and Procedures. Report functionally to the concerned Project HSE Manager.
• Carryout on the job safety inspections to ensure the safe methods of working, safety surveys and audit on prevailing safety performance and report to the relevant levels.
• Maintain an accurate HSE statistics of the company on reported accidents/ Incidents / Near Misses category wise and provide weekly / monthly report to the management.
• Maintain a daily working relationship with line management and subcontractors in relation of their respective compliance with the provisions of the HS&E policies and manuals and legal requirements.
• Monitor changes in HSE statutory legislation, rules and regulations and ensure communication of necessary information throughout the project organization.
• Conduct HAZID, risk assessment by means of task risk analysis to identify, control and eliminate potential hazards.
• Conduct emergency drills/trainings in onshore and offshore in accordance with the company’s emergency response plan.
• Conduct accident/incident investigation and determine the cause and recommend preventive / corrective measures by means of root cause analysis.
• Attend operational, management and employee safety committee meetings and to prepare the minutes of meeting.
• Undertake planned safety audits/inspection along with client representative for the project.
• Administer PTW system in the yard and offshore hook-up to control certain types of potentially hazardous work to ensure that risk of injury and damaged is minimized.
• Monitor the system of maintenance and inspection of life saving and firefighting equipment.
• Assist with medical evacuations (medivacs) and respond to emergencies in a timely manner.

• Certified in NEBOSH (International General Certificate) from Euro link safety L.L.C. Dubai
• Diploma in fire and safety engineering from N.I.F.E
• S.S.L.C from Pallikurup, High School Palakkad, Kerala.
• Pre-degree from Calicut University.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
