CIVIL WORKS INSPECTOR - BRIDGES AND VIADUCTS
PROJECT: AL SUFOUH TRANSIT SYSTEM
• Supervision and inspection of daily civil works which include foundation works, earth walls, concrete and steel structures, painting works , cable laying (trough and tray), APS, drainage, utility and pipe works based on RITA/ITR and conducting quality tests/NDT’s (as required) based on appropriate ITP/MS.
• Inspection of Track works and coordination with system drawings which include pre concrete, post concrete checks, fastening systems, rebar and track slab components.
• Assist in review and forward comments on the Technical Query raised by the contractor.
• Attend site technical coordination meetings to discuss contractor (s) submissions, shop drawings, material submittals and construction related matters
• Raising QSO for quality control procedures and reviewing NCR based on the corrective action suggested by the contractor.
• Assist in review of shop drawings, method statements, calculation note, design notes and material submittals for track slabs, VSoL panel based soil walls, multitubular power ducts, up stands, viaducts and bridges as per BS/AASHTO LRFD/Euro code standards.
• Maintaining up to date work progress records and documents of change (FCN) and reporting to the Sr. Structural Engineer/Resident Engineer.
• Ensure that all statutory authority NOC’s / permits / design approvals are available on site for construction
• Monitor the progress of the work against the approved contractor programme of works.
• Assist the project site team during internal, external and site surveillance audits, update and maintain the latest revision of all project documents
• Inspection of installed bearings (supplied by Algae Italy/Mageba Spain) and insuring that suitable materials are used for concrete repair works
• Updating Project Risk register for civil works.
• Reporting to the management of all health and safety issues and carrying out risk assessment and applying risk control techniques by coordinating with the safety team.
