I am a South African citizen. I started as a process operator/technician in the polymer business for Hoechst Durban Fibres which produced PET (Polyethylene terephthalate).

I currently work for Engen Refinery, in Durban South Africa as a Control room operator/Supervisor. I have been employed at Engen for approximately 14 years. I have worked on the following units: FCCU, Unsaturated Gas plant, CO Boiler, Vacuum distillation unit, LPSG, Visvac unit. I have experience operating boilers, furnaces, distillation columns, scrubbers, absorbers, different types of pumps, gas and air compressors, different types of process drums and heat exchangers and a host of other refining equipment.

I also have extensive experience as a DCS panel man, in supervision, unit shutdown and startup, turnaround co-ordination, commissioning and pre-commissioning and turnaround planning

I have also worked in Saudi Arabia for Saudi Aramco’s Petro Rabigh, HOFFCU facility as a commissioning supervisor. I have more than 15 year’s operations experience..

I am a competent, diligent and reliable worker; I take pride in my job and give 110% in all aspects of my work.
