Working with Emerson since Feb. 2011, when I was assigned directly to the Tres Lagoas project in Brazil, property of Petrobras, to work there during 7 months, developing tasks such as commissioning and troubleshooting.
After that, been part of projects in places like Brazil in multiple times, Nicaragua, Peru and Chile working with Emerson Korea; and Mexico. All multidisciplinary teams.
Received a “Poas Award” for achieving results beyond expectations, contributing to a positive impact in business objectives for the Ibitinga hydroelectrical power plant project in Brazil. Finished with Emerson in Aug. 2013.
Relevant Previous Experience outside Emerson 2008-2010
Commissioning engineer. Man-Diesel. HFO power plant located in Garabito, Puntarenas, Costa Rica. Team size: +15 engineers and technicians.
Commissioning engineer for the Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad-ICE project. 2010 with task such as simple cycle commissioning responsibilities including SCADA and hardware operation.
Completion of the basic field engineering related with engines (10 20MW HFO-diesel engines for a total 200MW power plant), pumps, boilers, BOP, cooling system, etc.
Coordinate efforts with the different international companies involved with the project. Instrumentation and control related tasks.
Prepare the complete documentation to run the commissioning process.
Review, classification and processing of technical documentation as per the project contract.
Generator sets and Instrumentation technical support.
Tech. support for different Costarican companies (Agromec, CN Negocios, freelance periods, Bticino) with tasks related with electrical engineering, power generators sets, structured cabling, duties assigned with public bids, completion of the basic engineering related with generator sets (installation and maintenance), customer service and spare parts specification.
