• Providing strong leadership and direction to a skilled workforce of 3 Watch Managers (Junior), 4 Crew Managers and up to 25 fire-fighters across the region
• Providing specialist advice on community safety issues, and also developing and implementing community safety strategies and action plans
• Holding full profit and loss responsibility, with the aim of delivering improved performance whilst managing a decreasing budget
• Implementing the community safety funding process with key partnerships, strengthening working relationships between these partnerships
• Auditing community safety activity and monitoring performance against targets and key performance indicators
• Developing positive partnerships with external agencies, including Police, local councils and youth offending services, and supporting community safety partnerships
• Delivering reports and other data regarding the implementation and development of community safety initiatives
• Planning and delivering information for conferences, seminars, briefings, training, induction programmes, publicity and promotions
