Drilling Engineer- Assistant Driller

Prepare daily rig operations and report to the rig manager and driller in the rig. supervise all the crew and be present at all critical job taking part in the rig and preparing the permits and documentations of critical jobs.

Undertaking the training for all the positions in drilling crew starting from Roustabout to Derrickman; performing and understanding their duties as per the Abraj job description. ⁃

Prepare Bottom Hole Assembly and kill sheets every after 100 meters of drilling, this involve calculations of volumes of annulus and open holes. ⁃ Prepare Bit Inventory and follow up of their life expectancy to determine the number of rotations the bit has acquired and wether it has reached its life expectancy. ⁃ Distinguish between different sizes of bits and their kind of teeth, wether Insert or Milled and their types wether PDC, Dicon or Tricon. ⁃

Identify bit nozzles and their different sizes, then be able to recommend certain bits for drilling specific formations or drilling cement shoe. ⁃ Responsibilities include operating and monitoring drilling systems and drilling equipment, preparing drilling documentation and maintaining accurate drilling logs, and assisting the Driller in supervising fellow team members, to include Roughnecks, Derrickmen, Floorhands and Roustabouts
