SAFETY ENGINEER WITH 11 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN OIL & GAS

TO WORK AS A SAFETY ENGINEER IN OIL& GAS,REFINERY OR PETROCHEMICAL SECTOR. TO ENHANCE PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE & ITS APPLICATION IN THE FIELD OF HSE.

• Participates in the development, supervision and monitoring of plant loss control programmes such as the accident prevention, training and inspection programme, etc. Initiate and participate in the analysis of accidents / incident/ near misses / unsafe conditions and unsafe acts and recommends actions required to update the programme to minimize recurrence of accidents.
• Advises and assists to the operation & maintenance employees on assigned site safety related matters to meet company HSE policy and regulatory requirement.
• Participates in the development of a plant comprehensive safety training programme. Develops and conducts advanced specialized loss prevention training programmes like ERCP, First Aid Training, Safety Awareness Program, and SCBA Training.
• Review the HSE philosophy and design aspects of modifications of existing units and new projects and follow up commissioning and start up activities.
• Participates in HAZOP review of new projects design and plant modifications to identify hazards & recommends remedial actions. Conducting PSSR for new facility.
• Sets procedures for protection of personnel, equipment and materials. Participates in hazard assessment studies and in training programmes.
Leadership
• Directs and supervises the activities of assigned personnel in the Safety Section. Performs supervisory functions at the level established by Management for the position.
Audit
• Participates in the Accident / Incident investigation, safety surveys, JSA, QRA safety audits, pollution surveys task forces from a safety aspect, etc. and keeps management advised of important developments.
Risk Evaluation & Management
• Participates in the preparation of the monthly performance report, monthly statistics report, and other periodic report issued by the department.
• Implemented programs to train managers and employees in work site safety practices, and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment, and other materials.
• Reviewed and revised emergency preparedness procedures and plans.
• Conducted plant safety inspection to find out unsafe act and conditions.
• Ensured Accident Prevention through Process Safety Management (PSM) elements.

Successfully completed BE in Fire engineering from Ministry of Home Affairs Government of India National Fire Service College Nagpur with 71%.
