“Credit card fraud detection using data mining in distributed systems”
Summary
The objective of this system was to determine fraud in millions of credit card transactions. This was achieved by dividing the transactions into ‘Meta Learning’ and further classifying them into classifiers. It basically dealt with calculating the attrition rate of customers who might commit defaults in payments and in the process try to effect fraudulent transactions..
