Design and Project Engineer

Seeking assignments in Design/Project engineering with an organization of repute preferably in Engineering Sector, willing to work in EPC field.

Core Competencies:
• Experience in steel sector consultancy, in the field of “projects” of large scale projects with extensive experience in Technical feasibility report ,plant layout, preparing assignment drawings, basic & detail engineering of various heavy engineering equipments & pre-projects engineering, Erection & commissioning of rolling mill & auxiliary equipments , Hydraulic system & lubrication system.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of areas like steel casting, Hot & Cold rolling processes (Flat & Long products), Pickling Lines, Coil processing Lines, Downstream facilities, Hydraulics & Lubrication system, ISO 9001.
• Ability to understand and apply the basic engineering concepts, practices, and theories involved in the design/development in construction, operations of projects/sites and their potential environmental and safety impacts.
• Experience of project co-ordination for large scale projects like CSP Mill and Plate mill.
• A strategic planner with expertise in implementing cost saving measures.
• An Effective Communicator & Team Player with strong Analytical, Logical and Problem Solving Abilities.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment with keen interest in learning new things.

Job Profile:
• Analysis of Tender documents and preparation of scope of work, schedule, preliminary costing and inputs for EPC offer documents.
• Preparation of Technical Feasibility Report and Detailed Project Report
• Basic Engineering for Rolling mill (Flat & long products)
• Preparation of Plant layout, technological general arrangement drawing, sectional drawings and assignments for detailing to service departments.
• Preparation and issue of tender specifications, evaluation of offers, technical negotiations & recommendation, Scrutiny of vendor drawings and documents
• Checking concurrence of equipment drawings against structural drawings, Detailed Structural Fabrication drawings, Civil Drawings, electrical drawings and piping drawings to avoid the fouling and identify the technical problems and take corrective actions.
• Liaise with internal department/client /consultant for technical queries & drawing approval
• Assistance during installation & commissioning of plant equipment/ facilities.
• Project coordination, preparation of project schedules and progress monitoring against schedule.
