Professional Experience
Monitor daily requirements from Engineering planning, workshops, stores material controllers and vessels – done via SAP notifications, PM orders and direct purchase requisitions.
Vendor management – Analyse and load new vendors to data base, for supply of material services, compliant to procurement procedures, company rules, regulations.
Prepare RFQ’s in accordance with Engineering & Production specifications and schedules before submitting official SAP documents to suppliers to tender.
More responsibilities are Capex/Project agreements and purchases up to R5M per transaction, direct imports and via local suppliers – some projects were done as package deals (turnkey) by the selected supplier.
Perform supplier performance analysis on continuous basis in accordance with company policies and procurement procedures. Select preferred vendor data base for specific categories of material and maintenance services.

My combined experience of industrial instrumentation maintenance (11 years) and technical buyer/senior buyer (last 14 years) offering a good profile for various sectors of procurement and/or MRO coordinator.
Material items purchased: Marine related engineering requirements – hydraulics, electrical, electronic, PLC spares HVAC, refrigeration, steel, pumps, compressors etc.
