Base Heavy Maintenance, troubleshooting, defect rectification, repairs, handling maintenance schedules’ like Major checks, A.B.C, daily/weekly and from 100-1000hrs checks on small/wide body aircraft.
Workshops: Machine Shop, Wheels and brake shop, Oxygen and safety shop, sheet metal and structural repair shop, Electrical, instrument and radio shops, assisting in Non-destructive testing.
•Majorly assisted in the removal and installation of engine Low pressure compressors on PW4000 engine.
•Removed, disassembled and replaced centrifugal compressors (impellers) of turbochargers installed on small aircraft like Piper Seneca III.
•Removed, disassembled, assembled, and reinstalled hydraulic multistage positive displacement piston pumps and water centrifugal pumps for the aircraft water and waste system.
•Disassembled and replaced internal parts (piston, piston rings) of air compressors on small aircraft and external ground equipment.
•Replaced gearboxes on the Boeing 707 and associated seals, especially the Garlock seal, with the necessary adjustment.
•Lubrication of surge and bleed valves and torque overload valves.
•Servicing of auxiliary power units and aircraft engines, air starters, and Integrated drive generators (IDGs), detailed visual inspections on ducting and components for any leakages, filters replacement.
