Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Looking for a position of Electrical / Instrumentation Engineer in Commissioning , Maintenance, Operations, Construction or Quality Control in a leading company in the Oil & Gas industry; onshore and offshore.

1) From 1-May-2008 till now: Chicago Bridge & Iron Company CB&I (www.cbi.com )
1a) From Mar- 2010 till now: CB&I, Ruwais Storage Tanks Project for GASCO (Abu Dhabi Gas Industries Ltd) in Ruwais, Abu Dhabi, UAE (www.gasco.ae ). CB&I is the project EPC contractor to build 6 full containment LPG tanks, 2 floating roof Naphtha tanks.

Key achievements:
As a Lead engineer in the E&I team from planning stage till construction completion and commissioning, I’ve utilized my team work spirit, cultural awareness, technical knowledge and experience to meet the intensive construction plan in this project successfully, on time and safely.


• Commissioning Engineer: LPG tanks cool down process, systemization of the E&I scope of work, Instrument loop checks (DCS, ESD and F&G) and commissioning of MOVs, lighting, small power distribution, foundation heating, fiber optic leak detection, tank gauging and machine monitoring systems.
• Project Completion: Final walk downs for acceptance and mechanical completion certificates, and hand over of Commissioning & construction documents.
• Construction Supervision: monitor the E&I construction activities as tray supports and trays, earthing, lighting, cable pulling, glanding & termination, instrument installation, tubing, testing and tank RTD’s.
• Field Engineering: Act as interface with the Engineering team for site modification design and as built drawings.
• Planning: Initial Planning, mobilization plan of E&I manpower and responsible for project progress reporting during the construction & precommisioning phase.


1b) From May-2008 till Feb- 2010: c (www.chevron.com) in Cabinda, Angola. CB&I is the project EPC contractor to build gas processing and treating complex with a capacity of 25 million cubic feet per day.

Job Description: E&I Engineer / Engineer Training Program.
• Inspection of electrical & instrumentation construction activities.
• Pre-commissioning & commissioning of electrical equipments like: LV/MV MCCs, LV/MV switchgears, transformers, gas turbine generators, MV/LV motors, control system, instruments, lighting & power distribution system.
• Walk down with client for the E&I subsystems for acceptance and mechanical completion certificates.
• Project completion and Turn over process, and implement winPCS Project Completion System software in the completion process.
