Drilling Equipment Engineer (2008 - Present)

Job consists of dealing with allocating equipment for onshore rigs with different section and sizes of drilling operation and procures equipment for needs of rigs to cope with drilling
operation. Liaise with suppliers for ensuring quality and suitable equipment for drilling operation with best price, quality and be delivered on time to the internal ADCO rigs.
Evaluates and recommends new design and types of drilling equipment with the objective of optimizing rig time and cost of operations. Prepares technical evaluations of quotations for
drilling equipment received from supply chain management. Allocates and follows up drilling
equipment used in each well.

The main duties included in my job can be summarized as follows:
• Preparing consumption forecast for procurement equipment in every 3 months followed by creating Purchasing Requisition (PR)
• Allocating equipment for every well and section with different suppliers to raise the competitive level among suppliers after being awarded with high quantity of equipment to
be given along with good performance.
• Monitoring the logistics transportation from suppliers to rigs.
• Liaise with supply chain management for equipment needs for each quarter and make sure
that equipment need within approved funds. Close in touch with Supply chain for procurement materials
• Prepare Tender documents for technical evaluation for next price agreement contract for each equipment and sizes. Co-ordinates with supply chain the purchase request and work with them in preparation of Tender Board submissions
• Utilization for used equipment that can be re used again as saving for ADCO.
• Follow up equipment performance, failure and investigation reports and equipment
modification.
• Conducting Audit for suppliers and ensure all are within ADCO HSE guidelines
• Evaluating equipment suppliers in term of HSE, performance and job execution. Create key
performance indicator (KPI) for each suppliers to enhance their performance.
• Optimizing new drilling equipment practices and technologies that can improve well quality and reduce well time and cost.
