Learning and Development specialist

My main objective as L&D specialist is to help other people develop themselves. I’m a real people person and get a lot of satisfaction to see other people grow their capabilities through learning I manage, facilitate or have designed.

March 2012 to date
Trained in Accelerated Learning Methodology and facilitated language training using AL Methodology for more than two years. This role has given me a lot of facilitation skills.
July 2010 to Feb 2012
I was in the role of Account Manager Blended Learning. This role required me to project manage learning projects coming in from the P&T portfolio. I am the face towards the business people can connect with to setup a learning project. These projects are then executed by a third party. I monitor budgets and track progress along the way for all projects.

For half a year I was in the role of Advisor Blended Learning. In this role I advised the Learning in Shell community how Blended Learning can be used in learning

Moodle certified SuperUser for Shell's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Moodle is used to host Shell's blended learning courses.

Progressed to next salary group for recognised achievements.
June 2006
As part of my personal development plan I attended a Schouten en Nelissen assertiveness course. During this course I learned how to present myself in a better and more efficient way.
October 2005
After being assigned permanent Shell staff I attended Shell's onboarding course "Shell Life". Shell Life has created opportunities to reflect on and take accountability for my personal direction, interpersonal skills and business leadership.

Trained in Accelerated Learning design technology and able to use this in effective learning design.

Responsible for successfully implementing TeleTOP in Shell EP, Shell's Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) from 2001 to 2009. I have an extended and deep knowledge of the system, as I understand how the system works from the student's perspective, as well as from the design professional's perspective. For these reasons I have been the business representative for the system. My experiences with TeleTOP has given me a well established knowledge of VLE's in general. I have been part of the assessment procedure and panel to choose Shell's new VLE Moodle. In addition I am appointed as SuperUser for Moodle since its implementation in August 2008.

- Masters degree in educational science and technology which I finished at the Faculty of Behavioural Sciences at the University of Twente. Academically grounded in didactical and pedagogical learning theories, Instructional System Design methodologies, and evaluation theories.
- Bachelors degree as teacher in primary education.
