Professional Experience
Field Service Technician - Field service technician assembling, installing, and servicing electric submersible pumps (ESP) systems, for both down hole and surface equipment. Overseeing the pulling of down hole ESP units and performing the disassembly of ESP units. Conducting forensic analysis and documenting findings for failed ESP units. Maintaining safety guidelines and preparing job safety analyses (JSA) for tasks performed on site. Troubleshooting variable speed drives (VSD), switchboards, and down hole equipment. Maintenance and repair of VSD and switchboards. Communicating with customers, engineers, and salesmen about technical issues, problems, and customer needs in order to ensure work is completed properly and to customer specifications. Preparing and disseminating reports. Working in remote locations with little or no supervision. Created new Excel spreadsheets for pull reports, install reports, drive start-up sheets, and drive information sheets to improve and ease information flow.
Arabic Linguist - Member of the U.S. Department of State Protective Operations Program in Tallil, Basra, Hillah, and Baghdad, Iraq. First linguist hired by for the program to work as a protective security specialist (PSS/IT) with language capability. Responsible for the coordination, implementation, and following of the numerous and varied security procedures required by the ministries of the Government of Iraq and its entities. I am fluent in Arabic and have over a decade of contracting experience throughout the Middle East, to include Egypt, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, as well as in Chad, Africa. I currently work in the oil and gas industry as a Field Service Technician. I have worked closely with Arabs in the Middle East and North Africa, training and mentoring.
