•Ensure that daily condition monitoring of underground conveyance (Ropes, hydraulic power pack system, winder drum, Gear box, Lilly controller etc.) is carried out early in the morning with conditions recorded.
•Lead a team of Mechanical Technicians in carrying out weekly preventive maintenance on underground conveyances.
•Ensure that all statutory requirements are carried out on time and effectively. (E.g. Winder equipment compliance test, winder rope decommissioning and commissioning etc.)
•Ensure that all underground conveyance safety devices are effective on daily basis.
•Assist in the commission, decommissioning and overhauling of multistage underground high pressure pumps.
•Competently worked as a Night shift supervisor for the Maintenance department.
•Supervise in solving challenges during the shift while major once are referred to the appropriate supervisor for appropriate action to be taken during the day.
•Ensure that equipment inspections are carried out with recommendations made.
•Planning of sectional activities for the underground conveyance from start to the end weekly.
•Attending sectional planning meetings, writing of daily, weekly and monthly reports.
•Prepare safe work procedure for all maintenance activities and discuss with workers before any activity is carried out.
•Represent the underground conveyance section in all safety meetings where safety concerns are raised and addressed.
