Safety Management

Fire / Hazardous Materials / Rescue / Confined Space Instructor & Trainer (Focus):

Training Needs & Operational Guidance: Develop, update, and localize appropriate fire training programs to NFPA and other international applicable certification standards compliance with health & safety policies, and ensure fire training equipment is available for use and in the state of readiness for the college training programs.

Managing Staff: Overseeing a team of six technicians and providing them with training and coaching to ensure their duties meet the organizational objectives.

Hosting VIP and Media Personnel: Manage programs for high profile guests with professional attitude along with full dedication and integrity in order to significantly contribute to the image of the college hospitality.

Management Systems and Policies: Evaluate the effectiveness of the fire programs through participating feedback along with developing training policies and procedures and advise on fire aspects to ensure all emergency response personnel are competent.

Standardisation: Assist with the coordination with Civil Defence, partners, joint ventures and other end users, to ensure standardization of skills and techniques, terminology and communication are implemented and maintained.

Safety: Supervise & control the emergency training personnel, equipment, facilities and activities to ensure training and development programmes are conducted in safe and competent manner.

Decision Making Authority: Maintain personal accountability to make the appropriate decisions to ensure that all fire development and training deliveries are undertaken in line with standards.

Recruit Assessor: Focal point conducting Functional Agility Test for Qatar Petroleum Firefighter recruits in order to ensure standards are met by the candidate and are fit for the job.

Interpreter: Considered as a focal point for English – Arabic translation in all official aspects including power points to meet the comprehension level of the Arabian and/or Gulf region.

Public Fire and Life Safety Education: Conducting educational presentations in training centre for the community upon official request to provide a comprehensive fire service related subjects.
