Duties as Base Radio Officer:
 Monitoring movements of more than 45 vessels.
 Arranging berth & anchorage in consultation with agent.
 Liaising with vessels at Mumbai High Field for Loading / Offloading Project Materials on Vessels at Mumbai High Field.
 Maintaining and up-keep of Radio Equipments.
 Transmitting daily weather reports to all vessels at Mumbai High Field, Heera, Neelam & Bassein Field.
Duties on Vessels:-
 Assisting the duty officer on bridge especially approaching and leaving the ports and in channelling.
 Contacting Pilot & agent for approaching port via telex, e-mail, INMARSAT-C and through VHF.
 Preparing correspondence and sending messages to the principal, charterers and other parties via e-mail, fax and telex through INMARSAT and GMDSS relating to Tanker Operations.
 Responsible in handling inventory of Radio equipment and spares for same monthly and annually.
 Preparing telephone billing of the crew.
 Maintained in a systematic and up to date manner technical documentation issued to the vessel for trading. Ensured that the latest revisions of all documents recorded, produced and distributed to concerned authorities and prevent use of superseded documents. Secure the storage and retrieval of the Manuals & drawings for the vessel data.
