Geomatics Engineer

I am seeking a challenging position in a dynamic organization, where I can apply my technical expertise, leadership skills and enthusiasm towards a long term career in GIS and Remote Sensing field.

 Performing complex Geospatial analysis and Image processing of Satellite Imagery, GIS data development tasks, GIS data system requirements analysis, data base design, application development, testing and GIS system implementation.
 Evaluating and assessing the client needs and setting task priorities.
 Writing detailed description of user needs, and application specifications including database interfaces, user interfaces, business rules, and database relationships.
 Participating in the development and implementation of division goals and objectives in Information Technology management, including project prioritization.
 Planning, coordinating and implementing new GIS systems and enhancements to the existing GIS systems. Conducting the need assessments for GIS information technology hardware and software. Making recommendations for additional extension tools.
 Updating and maintaining the GIS system after implementation. Troubleshooting the problems to the source. Assisting Programmer Analysts in work related to flow charts, project specification and programming.
 Providing project management for GIS related projects and their associated resources. Communicating project objectives, plans and status to all members of a project team and senior management.
 Developing Request for Proposals (RFP)s, Negotiating and managing vendor contract for Information Technology services.
 Coordinating, conducting, educating and problem solving sessions. Counseling the users regarding system functionality.
 Attending and participating in professional group meetings and staying abreast of new trends and innovations in the field of information services and GIS.
 Comprehensive understanding of company policies, procedures and financial obligations that would apply to projects.
