Financial Controller (Head Office, Kiev) – Cadogan Petroleum plc June 2011 – Present
Report to: Group Financial Controller

• Prepare valuations of proposed projects by discounting relevant cash flows.
• Support E&P management in the preparation of Authorization for Expenditures (AFEs).
• Prepare cost reports – structured by main AFE parts – for capital projects.
• Reconcile data prepared at well sites – drilling reports – with accounting records.
• Calculate management charges.
• On a semiannual and annual basis prepare standalone financial accounts – according to IFRS – for 16 companies operating on the UA market. Prepare consolidated accounts for the UA cluster.
• Support in the preparation of annual financial statements – according to UK GAAP – for a parent company that is traded on the London Stock Exchange.
• Prepare monthly financial and non-financial reports – including IFRS financial statements – for ENI (JV partner, top 20 oil and gas company in the word).
• Coordinate internal (ENI HQ) and external (Deloitte London and Kiev) audits.
• Prepare annual budgets for companies operating on the UA market. On a monthly basis, prepare reports for management that demonstrate actuals (YTD basis), latest estimates and variance analysis with comments that explain deviations between datasets.
• Prepare annual budgets for JVs and, on a regular basis, presentation for the Financial and Operating Committees of JV.
• Manage liquidity, using Short Term plans, and working capital of the UA cluster.
• Update and manage debtors register and inform stakeholders of unpaid amounts.
• Acts as one of signers of payment registers. Ensure that only authorized payments are made and that payments are classified to correct cost centers.
• Act as one of the first signers of Material/Service Requisitions (contain bid evaluation and POs). Check that MSRs are classified to correct cost centers and that all approvals are obtained.
• Supervise accountants and economists of subsidiaries.

Financial External Auditor – KPMG Ukraine, Kiev September 2007 – June 2011

• Performed audits of financial statements prepared by national and multinational corporations according to local GAAP and IFRS.
• Audited accounting entries, assessed and proposed adjustments (accounting entries) where these were required.
