Professional Experience
Operate and maintain the plant during the shift according to company policies and procedures.
Operate, maintain and repair a variety of engines like Cummnins,Caterpillar,FG Wilson, Perkins.
Ensure that the permit to work and isolation systems are strictly adhered to.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance involving the power plant and auxiliary system to prevent down time to ensure the efficient and continual functioning of the plant.
Ensure that reports for maintenance and repairs done on equipment are accurate and complete.
Perform daily inspections and planned maintenance
Assist in start- up, shut- down and normal operations of the power plant systemS
Complete and maintain all logs and running records in a clean and concise manner according guidelines.
Responsible for maintaining the plant in clean and safe conditions at all times.
Perform emergency procedures in order to protect personnel and equipment in case of damage or failure of safety deficiencies.
Provide the relieving shift supervisor with a complete handover, bringing to his attention any operational disturbances or abnormalities.

Carry out maintenance operate, maintain, repair and test a variety of Power generators.
Diagnose and effectively repair shut down and none start conditions on diesel powered generators and lighting tower generators.
Makes periodic rounds observing operating conditions, electric panels and managing fuel system, notes abnormal conditions and takes corrective actions like shedding load to maintain interconnection reliability.
• Knowledge of power generation, electrical safety and engine maintenance.
Maintain a database of all assigned generators reflecting the history of each unit which may include exercise run times and dates, load tests and preventive maintenance.
•Completes records, maintain tools and equipment and performs various clean-up and housekeeping activities.
•Conduct required preventive maintenance inspections and repair, perform lubrication on selected items of auxiliary equipment as required.
•Responsible for generator routine service. providing list of maintenance spare parts for diesel engines, alternators, control panel as well as necessary tools and equipment
•Promotes team work, safety awareness and actively participates in quality improvement.
