I Engr Onah Chidozie Nichodemus a marine Engineer by profession, served in Shipping/Maritime field for more than 35years. I served On board the ships as Chief Engineer and establishments as Manager for 26years before retiring voluntarily from Nigerian Navy in 2004 and joined the United Nation in Liberia (UNMIL) as Generator Mechanic/Technician for 6year as United Nation Volunteer. I took the ship as Chief Engineer to ECOMOG Operation to Liberia and Sierra Leon.
I attended Naval college of Engineering in India for 3years, Electrical Engineering in Liberia. Nigeria Defense Academy for Leadership, Security, International relation, Man and material management, awareness of latest technology. A Corporate Member of Nigerian Society of Engineering (NSE).
I in-charge of Engine room activities, embarkation and disembarkation of pol-products, preventive maintenance of the main propulsion Engines, Power Generation and distribution sets, sea water and fresh water cooling system, piping systems and valves. Maintenance and repairs of various pumps. Training of the men for fire fighting . Maintaining safety standard in all the jobs carried out on-board. Keeping all log books.
