Professional Experience

• Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) supervision (earthwork and geosynthetic lining systems including geomembrane and geosynthetic clay liner (GCL)).
• Slope stability analysis including soil, rock and veneer soil-geosynthetics slopes.
• Design and subsequent construction supervision for earthworks, foundations and retaining structures.
• Phase I (Desk Study), Phase II (Ground Investigation) and Phase III (Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessment) for residential, commercial and industrial developments. Ground investigation skills include forensic GI and factual and interpretative reporting.
• Groundwater and contaminant transport modelling.
• Containment engineering including geotechnical and hydrogeological designs and analyses for complex landfills and down-stream mining facilities such as tailings lagoons and heap leach pads.

- Exploratory Scientific Research Visit (British Council) grant for undertaking a reciprocal research visit with Prof. David N. Lerner from University of Sheffield - Groundwater Protection and Restoration Group (2005).
- Selected MSc student of Shiraz University for earning the absolute maximum grade in the MSc dissertation.

As a HEAT (Hostile Environment Awareness Training) certified professional, I am experienced in working with people from different cultural backgrounds and in various environments ranging from night-time supervision for the Network Rail projects in the UK during cold winters to supervising geotechnical excavations in Southern Iraq (Majnoon Oilfield) during an extremely hot summer.
