Jan. 2013–Present: Structural Concrete Materials Engineer and Lecturer Assistant, University of Cape Town, South Africa
• Consulted for Botes and Kennedy, Aurecon, Koeberg power station, Lafarge, Mauritius etc. on material engineering problems.
• Infrastructure condition assessment using non-destructive testing (NDT) methods e.g Port Nolloth jetty for Botes and Kennedy and several buildings and bridges for the SANRAL, PWGC and the City of Cape Town municipality.
• Responsible for carrying out concrete material testing using ASTM, EN, RILEM and SANS standards and implementing solutions that ensured durable concrete production.
• Taught Statistical and experimental methods and Structural Engineering III (serviceability state reinforced concrete design) to 2nd year and 3rd year Civil Engineering students respectively.
• Assisted in structuring examinations, tests and grading of tests and homework and reduced turnover time of feedback by 20%.
