Duties
Contractor management for a BHP Billiton sustaining capital project at Area C iron ore mine site.
Work with the contractors supervision on site to make schedules and ensure that the schedule is met, without jeopardizing safety.
Commission an electrical and instrumentation project on fuel and lubrication facility
Clarify unclear plans and schematics, and supply answers for any technical questions the contractor might have.
Ensure hazardous area installations are safe and meet Australian standards
Oversee an electrical and instrumentation project on a new fuel and lubrication facility
Fault finding in PLC programs
Ensure the work front is open for the contractor to ensure there are no delays caused on my companies behalf
Ensure all field inspection check sheets (FICs) and Inspection test plans (ITPs) are completed and filled out correctly
Prepare construction verification documents for commissioning
Interpret and evaluate blueprints and technical drawings in order to communicate
specific orders to crew
Ensure all statutory requirements are met on every job/installation (including but not limited to Australian standards and/or BHP mining standards/specifications)

With years of experience as an Electrical Mechanic working across a range of mining, commercial, industrial construction and operational sites, I have most recently been working in a Supervisory capacity, including reporting to managers, site inspections, safety audits, inductions, site access, work updates, documentation, ordering supplies, lead commissioning and other general needs of each project.
For the Past four years I have been working as a Supervisor in and around mine sites in the Pilbara, and before that I was in construction based in Perth as a leading hand/foreman and site electrical supervisor.
