OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCE
1. In General Electric Healthcare, Helsinki, Finland. Embedded software Engineer (Master thesis worker) from 2 June 2014 and continuing till 30 March 2015, the work tasks included:
Software development for embedded systems used for sensors operating in very low power conditions.
Software development on ARM processors (ARM cortex M3, ARM K20) using IAR work bench IDE (developing, testing, debugging) and on Code Warrior IDE (developing, testing, debugging).
Interfaces like SPI and UART.
Software development for algorithms used to process certain physiological signals (main task for the thesis work).
Responsible for certain physiological signals software related tasks: architecture, design, technical design review, documentation.
2. Research and development engineer at Solidux Telecom AB, Stockholm, Sweden, working on the EU project SYSMODEL www.sysmodel.eu/ in cooperation with computer systems Lab at Tampere University of technology, Tampere, Finland. From 1 January 2011 until 21.12.2011, the duties and work tasks includes:
Modeling of VOIP protocol on Multicore system.
Implementing the multicore VOIP server simulator using systemC and TLM2.0.
3. In Εbo Akademi university, Turku, Finland, Researcher in the embedded systems laboratory, from 1 September 2008 till 31.12.2010, the work tasks included:
Software/Hardware mapping of applications (JPEG, MPEG-2, Filters) into multi-core systems using Cofluent.
Analysis of memory transfers costs in MPEG-4 codec, surveys on very low power video codec.
Implementing a heterogeneous multi-core embedded system for JPEG on Altera FPGAs.
Analysis of a very low power multi-core embedded system for video codecs.
4. In NOKIA, NOKIA Research Center, Helsinki, Finland, Member of Engineering Staff, traineeship from 14 June 2007 till 31 Dec 2007:
Hardware engineer for embedded systems and digital design.
Software and Hardware co design using Altera FPGAs.
Integrating of a dedicated sensor processor into a larger system.
