Project Engineer, Principal Engineer, Lead Engineer, Engineering Manager

To provide Project Management Consultancy in FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning of oil & gas, petrochemical, thermal/gas turbine power,mining, pulp & paper EPC / EPCM projects from concept to handover.

• Lead a team of Engineers and Designers
• Studies, prepare the scope of work (SOW), design criteria, technical specifications, data sheets, design calculations, equipment sizing, 3D models, plant layouts, general arrangement drawings, Material Take-offs, Master equipment lists and maintained equipment database
• Review, Approve / Certify the 3D plant model, layout / arrangement / piping drawings, material selection, piping isometrics, design calculations, MTOs and other engineering deliverables
• Check and approve the scope of work, bid documents, Supplier Document Requirement List, Enclosure lists, engineering requisitions to initiate the RFPs
• Supervise the technical bid evaluations / recommendations and participated in pre award technical / commercial negotiations, organized kick-off meeting with Vendors and the customer
• Initiate inter-disciplinary reviews of engineering deliverables and vendor drawings to ensure that the tie-ins are in compliance with scope of work
• Review of the mass and material balance, PFDs, P&IDs and other discipline deliverables
• Responsible for technical aspects of vendor documentation, review and approval of all deliverables
• Handled around 30 vendor packages this involves design, selection and procurement of mechanical static & rotating equipment, centrifugal pumps, Vertical sump pumps, Variable speed drives, compressors, API tanks, process equipment, process water and potable water systems, firefighting system, HVAC, overhead cranes (10 to 50 ton) , electric hoists, port train / ship loading facilities etc
• Ensure the receipt of the certified copies P&IDs, General Arrangement drawings / Layouts, Construction drawings, Data sheets, Foundation drawings, Foundation load details, Control Philosophy, Cause & Effect diagrams, detail drawings, Electrical & instrumentation interconnection drawings, line list, equipment list, load list, utility list, cable lists, tie-in list, design calculations, performance data, Factory / Site acceptance Test (FATs / SATs) procedures, hydro test / leak test procedures, Safe lifting procedures, Commissioning procedures, installation, commissioning and operation manuals, quality manuals, Vendor data book, Start-up, operation and maintenance spare list, manufacturer record book, close-out reports, and dossiers for system start-up,commissioning

Education
• Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Mechanical Engineering (1st Class) from University of Madras
• Diploma in Data Base Management & e-commerce application development

Professional (Chartered) Engineer Memberships:
• Memberships (P.Eng.) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) & APEGS – Saskatchewan, Canada
