• Currently working as Senior Operations Officer in DHDS Complex of BPCL Mumbai refinery, which comprises of the Hydrogen Unit, Diesel Hydro De Sulphurization Unit and the Sulfur Recovery Unit (SRU).
• Job profile involves trouble shooting process operations, managing human relations, delegating jobs to subordinates and cognitive decision making during emergencies to obtain optimum results.
• I am working as an area in charge in DHDS unit. I work well in a group and possess the ability to handle all the service departments effectively and my ability to resolve conflicts also aids me to a great extent in this regard.
• I am responsible for production of Euro IV diesel and carrying out proactive maintenance activities of rotary and non rotary equipments. I also ensure safety norms are complied with while carrying out various maintenance activities during turnaround.
• I have been a turnaround coordinator and was involved in extensive planning for carrying out the turnaround activities from decontamination for equipment hand over, catalyst sulfiding for catalyst activation to implantation of revamp activities.
• I suggested a modification scheme for prevention of plant shutdown which can lead to a potential saving of INR 20 million per annum and I was awarded with the best suggestion for the same.
• I won an IDEA award on water conservation which led to a saving of INR 6 million per annum by reducing raw water consumption in refinery.
• I possess knowledge of SAP and use it for timely procurement of materials for inventory management which include chemical stocks to equipment spare parts.
• I have taken many initiatives for various value addition schemes which have benefited the corporation through management of change (MOC) scheme creations and their successful implementation.
• I was involved in the successful commissioning of a Revamped DHDS Unit capable of producing Euro V diesel. I am well versed in PIDs and PFDs and have a first hand commissioning experience.
• I have completed Six Sigma green belt project on refinery Slops management. It’s in the project implementation stage and I am well versed with various six and lean sigma tools.
